The importance of historic texts in the study of realistic swordplay is great and with the growing popularity of the World Wide Web more and more valuable texts are being brought into the public domain. The intention here therefor is to try an maintain a comprehensive list of links to where these texts can be found.
Manusripts available via post or email request, many civilian and military manusripts available, though several only available in original language.

A Fabulously informative site, a great many on-line texts and manuals free to download from fully credited sources, and catalogued by century. Nicely designed and quite fast, though some of the texts can take a while to download.

Another fabulously informative site, good many on-line manuals with a brief guide to content. Efficient and quick site, many nice distractions.

An interesting site focused on European unarmed and close quarter fighting. Informative collection of pan european treatise, nicely illustrated with critiques and suggested practice methods, several usefual links too.
