An online magazine dedicated to swords. Fabulous site with a very broad spectrum of editorial interest, including the making, using, care and history of all swords from all periods, On-line discussion boards, links, recommendations and much more. Fairly friendly to beginners, but obviously some very technical and in depth articles. Has a very friendly and informed readership, and it's free.

The Swordmaster :More
The Swordmaster is the on-line publication of the United States Fencing Coaches Association. Publications going back several years with interesting articles on all aspects of fencing, from the latest books to come into print, to suggestions for how to improve your coaching or fencing technique, occasional historic articles as well as several articles of little or no interest. But well worth an occasional look. Quick but basic site. The following link is to the USFCA homepage, click the Swordsmaster button for the publication.

The Swordplay Symposium International :More
A society dedicated to the promotion of the martial traditions of Western swordplay. The SSI produce an annual publication called SPADA, membership only access, currently 35$.
WARNING: The SSI domain name is currently being occupied by a rather opportunistic individual who bought the name after it was allowed to lapse for a few weeks during a move to another host. And at the above date, the same individual was attempting to encourage the SSI to buy the name back by using the address as a redirect to a porn site.

The Journal of Western Martial Arts :More
An interesting site focused on the broad spectrum of western martial arts, all very informative and well written by some of the most respected authorities on the various subjects. Has a special sub section devoted to "Colonial Combatives 1776 - 1914". Also has links to other martial arts on-line publications. Seems to be updated on a regular basis.
The JWMA
